This kind of festival involves a multitude of different demands for stable internet connections. Therefore, we distribute many access points to bring WiFi to every corner of the site for the thousands of users. The infrastructure that we construct at Festival WLAN is not something you can buy off the shelf. This is a system we developed in-house with many years of experience behind it. We use WAGO components for this, both because they meet the corresponding stability requirements and also because they are standardized. We have solutions for ticketing, we have solutions for directing and safeguarding user flows, especially cashless payments. It’s such a special moment: when you see that all of your work has been successful, when everything functions correctly, when your cell phone isn’t ringing non-stop, and you can just enjoy the show that’s taking place on the stage.
