Welcome to the WAGO practical tip for switch cabinet construction with today's topic of digital transformation – the WAGO I/O System 750 as the interface master. My name is Manfred Kühme and I am a product manager at WAGO. The requirements of control cabinet manufacturing for digitalization are also changing. Complex assembly cycles 6 00:00:25,960 --> 00:00:29,880 have to be simplified, time has to be reduced. This is the only way to ensure competitiveness in a highly competitive global market. How does digital transformation play a role in this? Process data is collected in the production facilities and then stored, evaluated and forwarded in digital form. This is where the WAGO I/O System 750 comes into play. With over 500 modules, we offer the possibility of recording and digitizing a wide variety of data in nearly any format for areas such as hazardous environments or safety- related system components. The whole thing happens in an environment in which you, as the customer, specify the open, standardized fieldbus format in which your controller or your higher-level control system would like the data. Whether PROFIBUS®, PROFINET®, ETHERNET or other standardized formats, we have the right fieldbus modules for industry-specific solutions. For the subordinate level of sensors and actuators, we offer the appropriate gateways to also support specialized subbuses. Maybe you also want to then transfer your data to the cloud via MQTT? We have the right hardware, such as the powerful WAGO Edge Computer, as well WAGO Cloud services. We also support the services of other well-known manufacturers. We always have data security in the foreground. Firewalls and protected VPN tunnels make this possible. The flexibility we have shown here is also reflected in the mechanical design of the system: Up to 16 channels at a width of 12 millimeters, many modules also with a pluggable connector that allows you to pre-wire and even replace modules without the risk of wiring errors. As a system for all applications, we also have an extra solution for extreme environmental conditions. For example, the dark gray WAGO I/O System 750 XTR can also be used in sectors such as rolling traffic, with requirements ambient temperatures of minus 40 to plus 70 degrees, or in the energy sector with increased requirements for dielectric strength and interference immunity. As you can see, as interface masters, we can help you implement the digital transformation for your system. “Open and Easy” is the motto by which we are guided and which we live every day. We look forward to helping you with those challenges. Thank you for your interest! You are also welcome to watch other videos from our practical tips series. Thank you!
