There are about 2.2 billion people worldwide who don't have good access to clean and safe drinking water. While I was working in Antarctica as a water expedition engineer, closing the water loop, I realized if I can do this here on one of the most hostile environments in the world, I can do it basically anywhere. So in 2017, I called one of my best friends at university, Pieter to help me to realise a vision: to make sure everyone on this planet has access to clean and safe drinking water. That is where our dream started: the Q-drop. This is our first prototype which we actually deployed and tested at the festivals Tomorrowland and Dranouter back in 2018 and 2019. But now already we've moved towards industrial scaled units, containerized, which we have deployed in various sectors, and at the same time also compact units for off grid communities in remote locations. Q-Drop is a standalone decentralised unit which can purify any local watersource up to reliable drinking water or process water quality with a minimal maintenance need. So far Bosaq developed several systems worldwide. We developed systems for South-Africa, for Suriname, for Ghana. We also developed systems for a school of 1200 children, in Rwanda. We also developed systems for the people that are affected by the war in Ukraine. And today we are developing new projects, so, a lot of countries where people will have access to clean and safe drinking water because of our system Q-drop. During our journey, WAGO has been our fixed partner for PLC CPUs, IO cards, but also accessories for electrical cabinet assembly. We like their reliable, and also compact, design for our standardized modular approach to decentralise drinking water and process water provision.
