Hello, my name is Steffen Weinreich I'm head of business unit interconnection at WAGO welcome to the digital Hanover Fair to the product presentationof the WAGO connection technology and my name is Ann-Christin Rachuba, i am the head of building installation & strategy and welcome you as well to the digital HMI we would liketo start today with the topic pluggable PCB connectors for the device connection. Our new WAGO products are presented by Steffen. We alreadyhave a broad product portfolio. This is now supplemented by a further Connector with push in conductorconnection and lever operation. The advantage is clear, with the conductor connection in the field, no third hand is needed. Lever open, insert the conductor, close the lever. Safe connection. The details explain the now Lukas Westermeier and Jörn Picker. Hello, my name is Jörn Picker and I am product manager for WAGOs pluggable PCB connection technology. I would like to present you the product news for the pluggable device connection. For many years we have received positive feedback from electricians to our installation terminals of the Series 221 with the lever connection. In numerous discussions with plant manufacturers and equipment manufacturers, we have found that their requirements for the field connection of devices are very similar. Intuitive operation, because the devices have to be installed worldwide, preferably pluggable, as the connection points may be difficult to reach and therefore the best system is a plug that can be locked in the hand. Tool free. That is why we have developed new products for the Device connection with the lever connection and designed a uniform tool free operation over a wide range of performance of the devices WAGO has developed the multi Plug System for higher currents up to 100 amperes and larger cross-sections up to 25 square millimetres. Today I may now present the new PCB connector with lever for the smaller Cross sections up to 1,5 square or AWG 14, which will be available in October 2021. and integrated into the Multi Connection System Mini. Our customers can use it to connect the field connection with lever in a cross-section range from 0,14 to 25 square or AWG 26 to AWG 4. The new MCS Mini female connector with lever is extremely compact and yet powerful with a pin spacing of 3,5 millimeter, a rated current of 10 amperes and an overall height of 10 millimeters. It has a universal connector with Push In Cage terminal blocks for all conductors rigid or flexible and is able to record metric conductors from 0,14 to 1,5 Square milimeters or inch conductors from AWG 26 to AWG 14. The conductor connection of a MCS mini female connector with the lever operation is simple, fast and safe. One or more terminal block units are opened and now all types of conductors up to the nominal cross-section can be connected. Strip the insulation off the conductor in the the intended length of 10 millimetres insert the conductor, close the terminal block point and the the conductor is safely connected. Even in the plugged-in state, e.g. on a device it can be connected very quickly. Due to the integrated Push In Cage terminal blocks rigid conductors or flexible ones with ferrules can be plugged directly, without opening the spring before. Direct plugging with the Push In Cage terminal blocks is future-proof and also enables an automated factory connection, e.g. by a robot. The new MCS Mini female connector has a testing hole for contacting with a test probe. The possibility of marking by direct printing from the direction of conductor connection, or perpendicular to it. However, the marking may alternatively also with a marking strip. It is 100 percent protected against being misplaced, which means only pole number equals, male and female connector can be plugged together and it can be encoded individually. It also has special mounts to allow optional accessories for factory or field mount. These include strain relief plates and to prevent the unintentional disconnection of the plug connections. Either lateral locking or central female locking latch, which can be released without additional lateral space requirement or do not demand a pole loss. This accessory increases the safety of the pluggable connections and allows the One-handed operation even under difficult installation conditions in the field. Hello, my name is Lukas Westermeier I am Product Manager for PCB Connections at WAGO. Today I would like to present you some novelties for our printed circuit board connectors systems, MCS Maxi 6 and 16. Thanks to the simple push in lever connection technology these connectors are optimal for device connection in the field. Another advantage that I mention would like, is the increased cross section area resp. the increased current carrying capacity of these systems. The connectors MCS Maxi 6 and 16 are suitable for a nominal conductor cross-section of 6 or 16 square millimetres with ferrule and furthermore both can be used with the next higher conductor cross-section of 10 or 25 square without ferrules. These connectors thus offer a very compact connection, with which they can still transmit high currents of up to 101 ampere. Please have a look at our d-rating curves for the 10 or 25 square connector in our product documentation. Besides the high quality connection technology has PCB connectors from WAGO always offered a wide range of additional accessories and product features. I would like to show you such an extension here today for our connector system MCS Maxi 6. Here you see our three new female locking latches. They are important for pluggable conectors, because it protects the connector againstunintentional disconnection. This is important for the security of my application. I would like to present you all three here on the sample board. We have used our variant with side female locking, which is always suitable when next to the connector there is not enough space for the actuation. When plugged in, the female locking locks automatically and the connections are securely plugged in, which protects against unintentional diconnection. By simply pressing the side tabs I can release the connector comfortably with one hand. Besides safety of an application, we know that the space in devices also plays an important role for the developer Devices must become more and more compact and This is why we have two more female locking alternatives which are more compact. Here we have once our center locking lever which locks automatically when plugged in. This is always suitable when next to the connector there is no space left to add a female locking latch or to operate the handle. For example on the front of a device of a frequency converter where I have several connectors next to each other. By simply pressing on the orange tab, I can release the connection comfortably with one hand. Our third alternative here is used for applications whenever I do not have any space for female lockings and no space to operate them. Also, this female locking latch locks automatically when plugging it. And the clue here is that we've got the release mechanism above the conductor where I need the space for the conductor anyways, by simply pressing the tab, I can pull the connector again. This gives us three different female locking systems, which guarantee one hundred percent safety for your application. And at the same time offer the developer the flexibility. To select the best female locking system that fits best in the application. Beside the classic PCB connection our connectors can be used for flying leads. These flying leads must be fixed somehow in the application. For this we have developed our new mounting adapters for the MCS Maxi 6 and 16. With these mounting adapters it is possible to mount a flying lead simply on a DIN-rail or surface. I will show this at the example of the MCS 16 connector. By simply snapping on the adapter, it can be connected with connector. This either works with the female connector or with the male header. Afterwards i take the connectors and snap them on the DIN-rail. Now i´ve got my flying lead securely fixed on the DIN-rail. When I'm ready to loose the connection I'm going to take one of these operating tools and simply operate the orange tabs. They remain in an open position, so that I am able to operate several adapters and simply remove them from the DIN-rail afterwards. By simply pressing on the orange tabs they jump back again and are ready for the next operation. Next to the possibility of DIN-rail mounting connectors can also be mounted with these adapters on a surface with the aid of two screws. This will give you the opportunity of a pluggable flying lead connection for high cross-sections up to 25 square, which can be easily fixed in your application. The WAGO lever is therefore for you as a customer of enormous importance and offers numerous advantages when it comes to connection in the field. In addition, variants with tool-actuated conductor insertion, in which the condurctor can often be pushed in directly, by Push-In Cage Clamp, as well as variants with push button are inspiring. Steffen, during product development in the PCB sector, there are also other aspects that are important to consider. Which ones are these? For us, it's always about helping our customers to master its challenges even better. Through a simple integration in its SMT processes or through space-saving products that offer more design freedom on the circuit board or even allow smaller devices. All this is possible with the THR and SMD variants of the new printed circuit PCB terminal blocks with push button series 2046. What exactly is behind this series, explains our colleague Victor Dick. My name is Viktor Dick and I work at WAGO as a product manager in the area of printed circuit board connection Technology and would like present you the series 2086. The 2086 series convinces through simple handling and versatility. This is reflected in the application area starting with, for example, control circuit boards, forhousings feedthroughs to application possibilities with little space. The product can be usedeverywhere. The variety of printed circuit boards terminal blocks cover almost every application. Due to the enclosed capacity of 0.14 to 1,5 square millimetres, a large spectrum to the smallest installation space is covered. The 286 series is rounded off by the Push-In technology, which has the advantage that rigid conductors and flexible conductors with ferrule can be snapped in directly. Flexible conductors, thanks to the push button, can also be plugged in. The release of all conductor types can be carried out by the push button. The program we see here includes the pin spacing 3.5 and the pin spacing 5 in upright and angled version. Due to the different solder pins alternating resp. displaced to double pinning, the customer has the choice which products he would like to use. Another advantage is in the pin spacing 3,5 with the displaced pinning, I have the same voltage as in the solder pins 5 with double pinning. All this, of course, on condition that that we get the power of 17,5 amps regardless of the pinning. Of course we don't want to withhold, that the 286 series is available in THR and also in SMD version. Here, too, the flexibility comes into play again. Depending on the application, the customer can choose which product fits best for him. Due to the packaging in tape and real for the SMD printed circuit boards terminal blocks, you have the time advantage on for the automatic placement on your side. Due to the high packaging unit the need to change roles reduces, which makes this process extremely attractive. In summary, we can say that the series 2086 convinces by its functionality and variety of variants. Push-In connection technology THR or SMD Technology, great cross-sections from 0.14 to 1,5 mm² and the delivery contains tape and real for the SMD circuit boards. terminal blocks make this product particularly attractive. Thank you very much. Small is not only possible with the PCB terminal blocks. Our new TOPJOB® S Mini terminal blocks in in the variants 1 mm² and 2,5 mm² also offer many other advantages, for example for use in small connection boxes. Steffen which would that be exactly? The new TOPJOB® S Mini terminal blocks are not only terminal blocks in miniature construction. In order to offer our customers a fast and efficient planning, we offer a wide range of data in all common engineer formats, also the possibility to offer customers individual blocks in our WAGO configuration software Smart Designer. What exactly is behind the TOPJOB® S Mini terminal blocks with the cross-section 2,5 mm², will now explain Burkhard Niemann will to you. Hello, I would like to welcome you to the product presentation of WAGO TOPJOB® S Mini terminal blocks.. This video is about the program extension of the TOPJOB® S Mini terminal blocks, with a more powerful variant with a cross-section of 2,5 mm². My name is Burkhard Niemann and I am the product manager for the TOPJOB® S terminal blocks at WAGO. Due to the compact dimensions of the new mini terminal blocks, they are the ideal solution for electrical connections in confined spaces. This is also due to the different mounting options. The benefits, that have been presented in the past year at the market launch of the smaller sister, the 1 mm², are also reflected in the 2,5 mm² variant. They have a very compact design and very compact dimensions. The terminal blocks come in two different actuation types. On the one hand with the operating slot operating slot for the operating tool. Both actuation types are suitable for the push-in connection. you can use the single wire conductor or the flexible one with ferrule directly without actuating the connection point. For flexible application possibilities ensure the three mounting variants: for DIN-rail 15, mounting flange by screw or by snap-in mounting foot directly onto the mounting plate. The familiar accessories from the TOPJOB® S program like the marking stripes or also the jumper can of course be used with the 2,5 mm² variant. Let's move on to the technical data. The terminal blocks with a cross section of 2,5 mm² can accommodate up to 4 mm². With ferrule reduces the connection to 2,5 mm². The maximum load current when connecting of the maximum conductor is 32 amperes. We specify the nominal voltage with 800 volts according to IEC or with 600 volts according to UL. The new terminal blocks is a little bit larger than last year's presented 1mm² but it also offers more performance. But our new terminal blocks are not only physically a real all rounder, but also digitally. For electrical and spatial planning the appropriate CAD and CAE-data are available. You can find these in our online shop on the product detail page in the download area. Here you can download the suitable data according to your application. Let´s take a look at the product in the application using the example of a motor terminal box. You can use the existing CAD data for the 3D simulation for your terminal box. Later in the assembly the mini terminal blocks can easily be lined together and also wire them due to their compact design. The three mounting options offer additional flexible application possibilities. And as already mentioned the matching accessories like the clearly readable marking stripe or the TOPJOB® S jumper complete the program. Find more information about our Mini terminal blocks on our website under the keyword "Mini terminal blocks". Thank you for your attention. As we have seen, we let the customers choose which operating type works best in the application. Therefore we offer the TOPJOB® S mini terminal blocks, with push button as well as with operating slot. . Apropo push button, Ann-Christin What do we offer our customers for applications in the building? Even more possibilities in building distributors offer now our new Installation Rail-Mount Terminal Blocks with push button as well as variants in the hybrid version. With tool operated conductor connection on one side and the push button on the other side. With the help of the new WAGO product finder for building circuit distributions the installation can be planned in advance to suit the specific application. With the WAGO configuration software smart designer, the correct terminal blocks are then ordered directly via the pass on function. The details shows now Andreas Brettschneider in the following video. Hello and welcome to the product video here at WAGO. I would like to give you an overview of the novelty in the field of building installation terminal blocks My name is Andreas Brettschneider. Here at WAGO, I am the responsible product Manager for building installation terminal blocks for the connection terminal blocks and the rail-mount terminal blocks. And those rail-mount terminal blocks is what it's all about in this video. We have extended our well-known TOPJOB® S Installation Rail-Mount Terminal Blocks series 2003 and 2005. These were series that were very popular, offer many advantages. And we have now integrated the push button. This means that in the future you will get all the variants that we have in our portfolio also with push button and in addition a third variant, namely a mix of push button and operating slot. You can see that here: in this variant it will look like this. We have here on the building circuits, the push button and on the internal side, where the distribution to the switchgear devices leads to, we won't have a push button there but the operating slot version. The so-called hybrid version is brand new and you get our entire known portfolio of the 2003 and 2005 series in all variants, also in these two new variants so that you have the freedom to choose what you're most comfortable with or as a switchgear engineer if your customer has the requirements that he wants push buttons externally and internally he prefers to work with operating slot, then you can offer him just that. And when assembled, it looks like this. Here we have installed them once. Now that would be the version with internal separation, where you can see here on the external side, we have the push buttons, and on the internal side we have the operating slot, so that one can meet the desires. And here the version with the N-separation of the busbar. So here also the fully equipped push button version. But you see a super tidy series here. Everything is there what you need for the individual design of the installations. Now, of course, with additional variants the choice of terminal blocks is not easier. To choose the right terminal blocks, we've thought of a way to make it easier for you, namely a software tool on our webiste. The tool query your definitions, which switchgear you use, which wire cross sections you use, for the different connections. You will then be guided to an automatic product selection. You'll just have In the next step you have the possibility to change into the Smart Designer. There you will get a drawing of your created terminal block with all dimensions and a parts lists, so that you have everything you need to get started. The installation rail mount termiinal blocks offer a real advantage in handling. Ann-Christin is there something else where we support the customers concretely? Yes, that reminds me of the gelbox, which is always the right solution when we have terminal blocks, like the series 2273 or the series 221 that we want to protect from moisture in the application Sebastian Heemeier shows you the product in the following video. Hello and welcome! My name is Sebastian Heemeier. I'm a product manager at WAGO and I present you today the novelties from the range of WAGO gelboxes. Concerning moisture protection of electrical interconnections. Last year we have already presented the Gelboxes for 4 mm² connectors, for electrical interconnections of the Series 221 4 mm² as well as for the Series 2273. This year we expand the gelbox portfolio with gelboxes for our 6 mm² of the series 221. Here you can see the two products in size comparison. The products are available at the end of April. For those who do not know the product concept, I would like to point out the individual features. The gelbox consists of a housing, which, when opened, consists of two halves. Which consists of a film hinge that are connected Each half is pre-filled with a silicone free gel. It has already reacted out and can be stored indefinitely. This means, that the gelbox is ready for use at any time. Concerning the application I would like to show you how it works. I wire the splicing connector as usual. I open the levers, connect the conductor and close the levers. After that, I take the gelbox, put it around the splicing connector and close it. And as you can see, there is some gel leaking out in the front area. That means, with closing the gelbox the splicing connectors is completely protected against moisture. To ensure that the protection works reliably and the box is always sealed, you there are, however, certain rules that must be observed. have to follow certain rules. The rules can be seen in the following matrix. There are the gelboxes in 4 mm² in three sizes, as well as in 6 mm² in three sizes. As you can also see there, is a fixed assignment of the types of splicing connectors to the respective gelbox. This is the only way to ensure the high degree of protection, following IPX8. Finally, I would like to refer once again to the application of the gelbox. Therefore we switch to the application wall. No we are in front of the application wall. As I said, I would like to once again show the application of the gelbox. Humidity can be problematic in different ways considering electrical installation. This can be, for example, a sharp jet of water but also the topic of condensation water can lead to problems. That can ocurr due to rapid temperature changes. Typical applications are for example car wash, nursery, plants or pumping shafts with water pumps, where there is highhumidity all year. Also the application of the permiter wire of a lawn mower robot can be safely established by using the gelbox. Another typical application, the lighting connection in the outdoor area, you can find on our application wall. The outside lights are attached to the wall and underneath are the electrical supply lines connected with our splicing connectors. To protect these reliably against moisture, you just have to wire it as usual and then take the gelbox to put it around the splicing connectors. Then close the box and that's it. From now on, the connector is safely protected against moisture and moisture cannot cause problems to the electrical connection anymore. That is all from side so far. Thank you for your interest! And if you have any further questions, you will find some information on our website www.wago.com Thank you! I see, the gelbox brings a real value to the 221 family by its protection against moisture. Right. And on top of that, we also have a new player with the number 221 in our team. The new inline splicing connector with lever is a real all-purpose weapon. Have a look in the following video! Hello and welcome to the product video, in which I will show you a few new products in the equipment of our famous 221 Series. My name is Andreas Brettschneider. I am the responsible product manager for the 221 Series and I am pleased to introduce the following news to you. You all know the 221 Series ith the orange levers for all conductor types. We have them in 4 mm² and in 6 mm². We have created different attachement possibilities for the mounting rail, for single attachment in devices and even a version to use in hazardous area. Introduced again, so that one can also be used in hazardous areas. New are the mounting carriers which we have in the colors grey-yellow and in blue, according to the colors for the PE and for the N. That means, that you get these carriers both in the 4 mm² and in 6 mm² version. And to complete it, we have developed the matching jumper bar. That means, there is one version that looks like a normal jumper we also know von Klampen, who that is simply plugged in and there is another version that has a little "plastic arm" attached on the side. This plastic arm can protect the connection between the two connectors. The jumper bar covers the levers to prevent an unintentional opening. and that's actually a very important feature for the distributions. the jumper bar also exists in the two colours blue and grey-yellow and it is applicable both in the 4 mm² and in 6 mm² version. As you can see, some great new tools in the portfolio of the 221 Series. Another new product I would like to present to you on our application wall. Hello, here we are at our application wall. Here I would like to introduce you to another new product of series 221 namely our new junction box of the series 221 for the 4 square terminal blocks. You can see it here mounted on the surface with a really pleasing design so that you have a good looking picture on the wall from the outside. But it really gets interesting under the lid of the junction box and that we have pictured here. Here is a classical example of an application for this junction box, namely the wiring of floor heating controls, where are quite a lot of places, that must be controlled individually and you often have the problem, that all these connections need to be placed in those boxes and the whole installation needs to be clearly laid out and this new junction box offers the possibility in 6 conductor entries, each equipped with a double strain relief so to insert a total of 12 surface- mounted cables. In addition, we have a possibility of inserting through the back wall of the box flush-mounted cables and then all around the box there are fastenings options for the terminal blocks. The terminal blocks can be optionally 2, 3 or 5 conductors of the 4 square family and here they are quite simply mounted just by snapping and the whole installation is fixed in position. And in addition to the fixed position we have here at the positions of the terminal blocks, our marking strip, so that each terminal block can be marked individually and thus the whole circuit if you have to and you can find your way around immediately make extensions. Search for errors or had to make enhancements. The next product that i would like to present you, is an absolute highlight in our new series 221 and I'll show it to you at our demo desk. Hello, I would like to introduce you to an absolute useful novelty in our series 221. You all know our series 221. They are available in 4 and in 6 mm². But to date we have all terminal blocks in the version with one-sided wiring. that means the lines must always be routed to the the same side of the terminal blocks, which works in many, many applications. But there are also applications where the conductor length is not available or you simply have cramped conditions, where it is simply cheaper to wire directly in a through direction. And that's what we're adding in our series 221 right now. You see, that we have come up with our new inline splicing connector of the series 221 and you can see already, here are the two levers on the opposite sides attached. Otherwise it is the same functionality as you are used to from series 221. Simply open the levers plug in the conductor, close the lever and then the whole procedure on the other side and you've already created your through-connection. Otherwise everything is identical with our existing series 221. We have a transparent case. You can also use the correct conductor length and check the correct stripping length. With this single-pole through connector you have many possibilities. This connector will be available in two versions. Both versions are unipolar, here the already presented one, with a fully transparent housing and we have a second version that has a white lid. This version is specially designed for the connection of the AWG 12 conductor in north America. Therefore we need a little more conductor holding force for that. That is realized in this terminal block. Other than that, it has no other difference to the standard connector with the complete transparent housing. The unipolarity has of course its limits. That means that you often need multipole construction units and for that we have put together a portfolio of mounting carrier, where the connectors can be easily snaped in. The connectors are available from 1 to 5 and you can also put them together in a row, so that you can create larger units than five connections. This mounting carrier can be used with or without strain relief and offer the possibility of a snap-in mounting foot attachment or even a screw attachment. All options are available, including ad ons for gluing or hang up et cetera. With these accessories we're getting lots of possible application options with our new through connector. The standard application is of course in the electrical installation in small junction boxes like this one for the connection of luminaire cables, between ceilings. in very small boxes fit the three-pole connectors. Then there are the applications on the DIN-rail. With these adapters you are able to install the connection via a DIN-rail adapter mounted underneath on the mounting rail. With the possibility of multipole installation very compact and the free wiring, which should not to be underestimated. There are many applications, such as the extension of loudspeaker cables. Which are design-technically really beautiful and also has a nice appearance in the living room. Further free wiring is of course also the one application that is used in the lab where you can build up a lab circuit very quickly, connect and disconnect. Very quickly you then have your laboratory circuit and is at that point very flexible and very fast. With these applications in flying lead, also in special devices you can use the connector with this mounting carrier and with the snap-in mounting foot, you can easily snap it in the housing and you have a great connection within this finished devices. These were the new WAGO products from the field of connection technology. I hope we could arouse your interest. Thanks for watching.
