So this building has stood here since the late 1100s. There's a lot of soul here that you have to respect. But when we started the brewery, we realised that the heritage alone wasn't going to guarantee us a high quality, consistent pint. We’re working against the building, not with it. Before the upgrade, every brew day was a high wire act. You’re manually dosing, you're watching thermometers, you’re second guessing the volumes. It was stressful. You're so busy fighting the equipment that you lose sight of the craft. At WAGO, we don't just see a brewery, we see a precision process. Ian didn't want a generic black box solution. He wanted a partner who would listen to the building's history, where Orm’s Brewhouse was today and his vision for the future. The WAGO engineers didn't come with a product catalogue. They came for a conversation. The first time we ran the system, seeing the flow meter hit the exact target and the pump just stop. I realised just how precise we can make the whole brewing process. That's the moment, when the technology fades into the background and the brewer can confidently just be a brewer again. Now we're thinking of using WAGO to turn our surplus solar power into heat. We're brewing with the sun. We’ve found a way to be sustainable in a 700 year old barn. Success isn't just a finished project. It's seeing Orm’s Brewhouse grow with total confidence.
