Welcome Viewers, We'd like to present interesting and exciting news and information to you from the world of WAGO in the new format of our WAGO webcast Information about the latest addition to the TOPJOB®S product series is presented in the “Mini terminal block” webcast. If you watch this video in a location where the live chat function is unfortunately not supported, contact our Support through our website for more information. But before I begin with the actual topic of the day, allow me to introduce myself: My name is Burkhard Niemann. I'm the product manager for the WAGO TOPJOB® S Rail-Mount Terminal Blocks and I'd like to tell you about some applications and also the technical data for our WAGO TOPJOB®S Mini Terminal Blocks. I'll then turn it over to my colleague, Jana Hoewner, who will show you how to create a circuit diagram with EPLAN or WS-CAD using the product data already available for our new terminal block program. In drive technology or in general systems engineering, customers want the same performance from products with ever more compact dimensions – and that is where this terminal block, with its extremely compact design, can leverage its strengths. WAGO offers an innovative solution with its TOPJOB®S Mini Terminal Block – because we provide for convenient conductor termination even in the tightest spaces. This terminal block stands out with three different types of mounting, offering you the right solution for any task. We also offer a quick and easy means of conductor termination through simple pushing in of the conductor or of a flexible wire fitted with a ferrule. And last but not least, existing TOPJOB®S accessories, such as marking strips or jumpers, can also be used with the new mini terminal blocks. The TOPJOB®S Mini Terminal Blocks are available in three different mounting versions: mounting on a DIN-15 rail, mounting using a snap-in mounting foot and mounting using a mounting flange. When these terminal blocks are mounted on a DIN rail they can be directly removed from the assembly, in the same manner as rail-mount terminal blocks, and the green-yellow variants provide contact with the mounting base, here the DIN rail. The variant with the snap-in mounting foot enables a compact terminal block to be directly snapped in to an existing drilled hole pattern without having to use any tools. And finally: terminal blocks with mounting flanges can be screwed directly on to the mounting plate using M4 screws. Despite its compact design, with a width of a mere 3.5mm, our TOPJOB®S Mini Terminal Blocks can accommodate up to 17.5 amperes when a 1.5mm² wire is connected – with voltage up to 500 V according to IEC, or 300 V according to UL. These terminal blocks possess all international approvals, including UL, CSA and CCA, and they can also be used in Ex areas; the approvals required for this, such as IEC-Ex or American Ex have also already been granted. The terminal block is ideal for use in small three-phase motors, thanks to its compact dimensions. This is illustrated here, as you can see – including the three-line marking strip. As you can also see quite well here, you can mark the jumper in the second line of the marker strip. This makes it easy to see what type of jumpers – star or delta – have been installed in the circuit. Therefore the thrid line would be a good choice. The data required for creating circuit diagrams for WS-CAD or EPLAN are, of course, also available and can be called up at our website. And now in the second part of our webcast, my colleague Jana Hoewner will be glad to show you how this works and the easiest way to do it. My name is Jana Hoewner. I am a technical assistant responsible for the new mini-terminal blocks. As we all know, full and complete data is required for quick and optimal planning. This is why data for our new mini terminal blocks is available to you from the very beginning in the planning software, in our WAGO Smart Designer configuration software and at our online shop. Starting with electrical planning, the mini terminal blocks can be quickly integrated into the corresponding circuit diagram with the planning software using existing technical data. The application example shown here is, by the way, the motor connection also presented by my colleague as a direct application example – here, with the EPLAN planning software. The illustrated terminal strip can simply be positioned in the enclosure of your choice using existing 3D macros, for example in Pro Panel. To do this, just move the terminal strip to the required position. Here too, it can be seen that sufficient space remains for convenient wiring, even in small enclosures. But now let's return to planning: If you've opted for a different mounting variant, such as the variant with a mounting flange, you can have the drill holes for subsequent automatic drilling displayed and planned in the Pro Panel planning software. A plausibility check can then be performed with the WAGO configuration software, our Smart Designer, to determine whether the configured terminal strip has been correctly chosen for the task at hand. Smart Designer is online-based configuration software available to you free of charge. Data transfer is made either directly from the EPLAN planning software, or via the planning software you are using with the CAE data to the Smart Designer configuration software. The plausibility check can be performed automatically in the Smart Designer configuration software. This software suggests any components which you may be missing – quickly and easily, without having to search for item numbers. Here, in the motor connection example for instance, the end stop for complete attachment of the terminal strip on the DIN rail is missing. As the name Configuration Software suggests, the Smart Designer of course has much more to offer. Simply add any other accessory items to the terminal strip you may need, such as additional marking accessories or directly edit existing marking with our marking assistant – for example with suggested numbering systems or automatic adaptation of the font size. When you've completed your terminal strip you can then, of course, make an inquiry through our Sales office for an offer with the quantity of items you need. Additional documentation can also be easily saved in Smart Designer with the click of the mouse. For the example presented here documentation may be corresponding parts lists or additional CAD data in various formats, for instance. So, as you can see, our mini terminal blocks make the ultimate difference in application and planning. Their compact design leaves ample space for convenient wiring – even in small enclosures. The mini terminal blocks come in three different versions. Just select the mounting version that best suits your task. Use the existing TOPJOB®S accessories and start planning directly using the data available in the planning software and our configuration software. Are the mini terminal blocks the product you need in your application? If so, get in touch with us directly using the Meet-the-Speaker function, through your familiar contact person in Sales, or by using the contact form at on the website. And as a final note: Don't miss our next video “Rail-mount terminal blocks with levers – tool-free connection”. Thank you for your attention!
